What’s going on with me.

It’s been a small while since I last blogged. Those of you who follow me on Twitter and Facebook will know i’ve been poorly/ill/sick.  And still am. Everytime I start getting my artworking life back in order something else happens. I’ve been having bone ache, almost constantly for 3 weeks. It’s coming up to aContinue reading “What’s going on with me.”

The Democratisation of the Art-World. Questions….

So, as you know, I’m one of ten awesome artists on Sites residency program this year. It’s pushing the investigation of participatory artwork. This post is not on what I’m doing, but more questioning what we’re doing in art in general. And I don’t mean we as in the 10 artists, but every single artistContinue reading “The Democratisation of the Art-World. Questions….”

what is the function of art within disaster capitalism: politics of art within a post-fordist post democracy. (rant part 2, part 1 of part 2) asking questions more than a formulated enquiry/answer.   part 1 A standard way of relating politics to art assumes that art perhaps represents political issues in one way or another.Continue reading “what is the function of art within disaster capitalism: asking questions more than a formulated enquiry/answer. 7 Minute to think of & execute XMAS CARDS!

The task, create 20 individual xmas cards with only spending 5 minutes on each. I over exceeded that on some, giving me an average of 7 minute per-card. Including what was going to go on it. Not too shabby. Of course, I can draw/paint better than this but I’m loving the rushed style these days.

My future kids picture book idea: The Future

My future kidz picture book idea: ———>> I bought some glasses, they showed me everything i’d be, and what i’d know, and all i needed to see; I bought some future glasses, but I never put them on, ’cause where’s the fun in simply going, where you’ve already gone! 😀

The Network of Power: Adventures in Capitalism (work/part. 1)

Hello. So I guess my new work is sort of a comic, but I don’t mind it being classed as a comic because… well, comic-artists are some of the coolest people I know. And they speak to a way bigger audience than you know – showy, polished gallery only artists. (Nothing wrong with gallery onlyContinue reading “The Network of Power: Adventures in Capitalism (work/part. 1)”

Illustrative Mapping: Doc/Fest

I’ve been really nervous how these would turn out. And you know what, I like the energy it captures. We did these in a mad rush between the 2 days of the sheffield doc/fest film festival finishing and me jetting off to America for 4+ months. I can’t believe how lucky I am to haveContinue reading “Illustrative Mapping: Doc/Fest”
