Typography design and the english language

Today I offered to collect our Transmission host Artist from the trainstation and buy her a drink in the Showroom cafe. Her name?  Only… caroline Bergvall!!  As in professor, MOMA Showing, world travelling, amazon book published poet… performance artist… performance poet artist etc. She was amazing. She talked alot about the crux of language. Very Deluezian. (deleuze). So when I saw this image today, I was like yeahhhh that is cool.

This poster makes reference to the paucity of diacritics in English. And, when they are employed, they’re often used on loan words—like the French café, for example. Here’s a little pre-Sunday Type challenge for you: name all the diacritics (or diacritical marks), and name the typeface used.

2moz I’m going to Frieze art fair in London… keep it locked here for some criticism and perhaps reviews?!
